Who made my dress?

Since Fashion Revolution started, thousands of brands are being more open about where their clothes are made. This positive change is down to people joining the Fashion Revolution and asking brands via email, twitter and instagram – #whomademyclothes.

Two years ago I bought this dress in a House of Holland sale (even then it wasn’t cheap!) and as I get it out of my wardrobe for the warmer weather, I wondered who’d made it? IMG_1165I emailed:fullsizeoutput_14f1I tweeted:Screen Shot 2018-04-23 at 16.00.54I instagrammed:fullsizeoutput_14fefullsizeoutput_14fdAnd got this reply:4RhqBl6w

Yep, that’s right, I’ve heard absolutely nothing back!

But that hasn’t disheartened me, reading through the Fashion Transparency Index just proves our efforts asking #whomademyclothes are working. Screen Shot 2018-04-27 at 06.46.07

Have you asked any brands #whomademyclothes? If so, what did you find out?

Have a great Friday and see you on Sunday to wrap up Fashion Revolution week with my ‘love story’!

Ciao x

  1. It’s so sweet and sensitive of everyone to know in actuality who made the dress and appreciate the skills and hard work of a labor and not just promote a brand as a whole!
